General education requirements are designed to give students a broad background in all key academic disciplines, including natural sciences, social and political sciences, humanities and mathematics. Dependent on the degree you are working toward the minimum requirements below apply:

The university evaluates each transfer student independently and accepts credits deemed equivalent from the following sources:
  • Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC)
  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • Defense Activity for Non Traditional Education Support (DANTES)
  • Training provided by non-collegiate institutions such as the Armed Forces
  • California State University General Education Requirements (CSUGE)
