Program Description
The objective of the paramedic program is to provide students with the skills and knowledge that enable them to qualify for positions as a paramedic. Our students are trained in anatomy and physiology, clinical procedures, and paramedic procedures to meet national standards.
Graduates are prepared for entry level positions in the healthcare field such as a paramedic, EMT, or ambulance driver.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful program completion graduates will be able to:
- Provide emergency medical care in a healthcare setting consistent with the professional expectations of an entry level paramedic.
- Communicate effectively with individuals of varied cultural and social backgrounds consistent with the professional expectations of an entry level paramedic.
- Comprehend, apply and evaluate information consistent with the professional expectations of an entry level paramedic.
- Demonstrate personal behaviors consistent with the professional expectations of an entry level paramedic
- Collaborate effectively in groups and teams.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in all skills required to be consistent with the professional expectations of an entry level paramedic.
