The net price calculator is a tool for students and parents to use to get the estimate of what it may cost to attend The University of Antelope Valley each year. It is important for you to understand that the information you receive from the calculator is a broad estimate. Many factors come into play when we award financial aid to students including, but not limited to: deadlines, levels of funding, grade levels, and academics.
It is also important to note that the net price calculator does not incorporate Federal Stafford Loans into its financial aid calculations. Students who file a FAFSA are eligible for low interest, deferred loans through the Federal Direct Lending Program. The loan amounts students are offered vary based on a student's dependency status and grade level in school.
If you have not been awarded financial aid yet, the net price calculator may help you to fill out the self certification form that is now required by lenders for private or alternative student loans.
Please be advised that the calculator is for estimating purposes only and shall not be binding on The University of Antelope Valley. Final eligibility for aid is subject to student completing the FAFSA, meeting eligibility, meeting priority deadline, and availability of funds. For more information on applying for Federal student aid, go to http://www.fafsa.gov.
Cost of Attendance
For alternative loans and general financial aid awarding, the financial aid office creates a cost of attendance estimate for all students. This cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room and board as well as transportation, supplies and miscellaneous expenses. The cost of attendance is the average cost based on direct to college expenses as well a regional norms.
The University of Antelope Valley's net price calculator reflects the average cost of attendance for the 2010-2011 academic year and financial aid funding levels from the 2009-2010 academic year.
